On Taking Risks - Updates

When I wrote the last update, I was celebrating the academic success that came from focusing on my dissertation. That achievement was the first validation that the risk I took—leaving my job—was the right move. But it was only the first part of the 'why'.

I'm thrilled that the next chapter has now fully begun.

I have started my new role in as a Data Scientist, working on ML and LLMs, and it's everything I was working towards. The leap of faith from last May wasn't just about finishing a degree; it was about pivoting my career into a field I am deeply passionate about.

Now, I am in a position where I get to apply the very skills and concepts I spent my MSc researching.

Here’s what I’m doing as of October 2025

• Working on: I'm working on Continued Pre-Training and Post-Training LLMs.
• Reading: Curated articles from HN, and curated research papers from AK at 🤗.
